Building Surveys

A full building survey is similar to a Level 3 RICS survey and covers all the points in this type of survey and relates to the fabric of a building including any structural issues. This includes damp, insulation, timber defects, services, floors, walls, roof, movement, structure but does not include a valuation. However, we do expand on any structural issues that we encounter. The RICS surveyor cannot comment on the causes of structural problems nor recommend remedies and consequently they will refer or recommend that a Structural Engineer investigates these issues.

Structural Survey

This is a survey that looks in detail at the structural defects of a property which will include floors, walls, ceilings, roof and comment on any structural issues. Where possible this will identify the cause and make recommendations for resolving the problem or will make recommendations for further investigation. This survey does not include damp or issues relating to the fabric of the building.

We also cover Barn Surveys – Class Q, Defect Surveys, Survey following Spray Foam Insulation.
